Thinking of painting my sister's cabinets black. checking here if anyone has experience using Behr's or Mohawk? How was it and which one do you prefer?

I've used both, Behr's cabinet enamel is solid for a DIY job, flows decent and holds up alright if you prep right (degloss, prime, etc). Mohawk's more pro grade , it sprays smoother, levels better, and dries harder. If you've got a sprayer and want that clean factory look, go Mohawk. But for a brush and roll setup, Behr's fine too

If you're just DIY-ing then Behr's gonna be perfect for you as it doesn't really need much +++ it's more affordable. But if you're already pro then definitely go for the Mohawk. It's just as @Bumble_bee explained.

I'd lean toward Behr Premium for a clean, durable finish, or NuVo's kit if you want everything in one go. Can't wait to hear what you end up using

for cabinets, Mohawk is better. it will have a great finish

Black cabinets? Oh, that's sooo Ikea. Nice move and it's something fresh for sure. I've used Behr before. It's really good and has amazing coverage. But maybe you kinda need some planning because it dries quick. For me though, Mohawk's finish is a bit smoother and tougher. Up to you in the end what you prefer. Either something quick or something that's gonna make it look like its done by a pro.

A friend of mine recently assisted his cousin in giving her small condo kitchen a makeover using Mohawk black. It took a little extra time to apply, but the end result looked like it came right out of a design magazine. They had Behr paint as a backup option, but it turned out they didn't even need it.
