A buddy of mine has a big painting project. I'm a mechanic, so I don't know anything about this, but I want to help him.
He's been hired to paint a full kitchen of cabinet doors in three diners. He's got a pretty beefy compressor (a 6hp, 60-gallon one that pushes 10.2scfm @ 90psi), so he's got plenty of air.
He's not familiar with HVLP guns and only has very limited experience with a basic gravity feed. He's leaning towards using Sherwin Williams Gallery paint, but he's open to other options.
We're trying to figure out the best way to tackle this. Should he go with an HVLP gun or an airless sprayer for a project this size?
He needs something that will give him a killer finish without a massive learning curve.
Any recommendations on a specific gun or paint would be a huge help!
