I think, oil based varnish will give you the best warm, classic look and is very durable, great for high traffic areas, the only thing is that it takes longer to dry and has a stronger smell, which is just the opposite for the water based that dries faster and has less odor, but then it gives the wood a lighter in color, so you may need more coats.I'm currently trying to revive our very old parquet flooring so i need suggestions on parquet varnish. What type is best?
Nice project you got!! For varnish, a tough polyurethane made for floors is generally best due to its durability against wear and tear. You can find both water-based and oil-based.I'm currently trying to revive our very old parquet flooring so i need suggestions on parquet varnish. What type is best?
