latext paint over oil paint

What problems do you usually see when putting latex paint over oil paint? im pretty new to this and havent dealt with oil paint much since most stuff is water based now. What bugs you most about doing this?? Also what primer would you pick to switch between the two and make it work well?

latex over oil and youll have a hard time getting the latex to stick to the glossy surface. You should get an oil or shellac based primer to get the latex to stick to the surface
