Alright painters and decorators, let's talk about the growing love for satin paint on trims and doors. Gone are the days when high gloss ruled the world of finishes. Satin paint has swooped in and stolen the show, and it's easy to see why.
Satin offers a subtle sheen that gives trims and doors a sophisticated look, perfectly complementing modern and earthy color schemes. It's also great at hiding scratches, scuffs, and imperfections. Glossy finishes can never do. Plus, satin paint doesn't scream for attention, making it ideal for achieving a balanced and elegant interior.
What are your thoughts on satin paint versus gloss or matte. Is satin the future of finishes, or are we just riding the wave of a trend. Share your preferences and experiences, and let's hash out which paint really deserves to be the top pick.

Of course, especially for trims and doors. It has a nice balance of sheen without being too reflective, which makes it perfect for high traffic areas. Plus, as you mentioned, it hides imperfections better than gloss which can sometimes be too flashy, and matte can feel too flat, especially for doors or trim that you want to stand out a little, satin is just that sweet spot between the two that fits modern and classic looks alike. so yeah I feel you man

Hey, this is a nice topic! i like my doors and trims with a faint gloss on em. Looking slightly polished is the way to go for me. And yes, i agree that it is great at hiding scratches! I think we all have the taste here

Absolutely, satin really hits that perfect balance for trims and doors. It's functional and stylish without going overboard.
