Anyone here ever used a SW Sher -clear as your topcoat on a freshly painted garage or any of the likes? I usually have customers concerned and asking about sun damage, so I tested a single coat on a spare door. I use SW high performance acrylic for entry doors because it recoats faster and doesnt block easily. It's supposed to be UV resistant, and I tyically apply it a few hours after the second paint coat and only use it over acrylics. Anyone else ever tried the same?

i got a diy guy for a neighbor, he would always apply quality clear topcoat over a uv resistant acrylic exterior pain.. it significantly extends the paint's lifespan and color vibrancy! i could attest, i saw results firrsthand on his projects at home!!

Hmm, SW Sher Clear is good for UV protection and it's also durable. Plus works well with acrylic. Just wait like a couple hours before another coat!

I've tried Sher-Clear as a topcoat over SW high-performanc acrylic, and it does a great job protecting against UV rays. It's a fast-drying, water-based clear coat that gives extra durabilitiy without being too hard to apply. Just make sure the base coat is dry and clean before you put it on for the best outcome. It's perfect for things like garrage doors
