Choose between wooster vs purdy paint applicators

I'm starting a painting business and just want to know what people like the contractors and home owners prefer more between Wooster vs Purdy paint applicators like brushes, rollercovers, and all. Do all people generally align on this? I always thought that purdy brushes lay paint on much more smoothly and with fewer brushstrokes, also lasting a few years longer. Am I wrong?

both are good and reputable applicators. You have to try both and see which one fits you for each tool. I for one goes for purdy when it comes to brushes and woosters for rollers.

Absolutely, both brands are solid. I prefer Purdy brushes and Wooster rollers myself. How about you?

Yeah! In addition to Purdy and Wooster, I'd definitely recommend checking out Corona brushes, particularly their Chinex series. They're really durable, apply paint smoothly, and hold up well after washing. Proform is another great choice if you're looking for something comfortable for those long painting sessions.

I think you'll get a hundred different opinions on Wooster vs Purdy since a lot of it really comes down to personal preference.
But just based from what I know, a lot of contractors lean heavily into Wooster, especially for roller covers.
They say their Sherlock frames and covers are workhorses for production painting.
Some also find Wooster brushes to be a bit more robust for everyday abuse, even if they don't always feel quite as fine as a Purdy for trim work.
