im tackling a project that involves two massive exterior walls with paint peeling everywhere and i want to make sure the prep work is topnotch. ive been looking into the best oil based primer options especially something that works well with spraying and backrolling techniques. right now zinsser oil based exterior primer is my go to because of its reliable adhesion and coverage but w/ the condition of these walls i wonder if theres an even better primer for this kind of challenge. any suggestions on alternatives that meet or exceed zinssers specs? im also curious about how different oil based primers handle extreme wear over time especially on heavily damaged surfaces. is it worth looking into higher grade options even if they cost a bit more or do you think sticking to under $20 products is the way to go? any insights or experiences with other primers would help make this decision.
