Anyone still using RXM texture in commercial work?

Got asked to bid on a small gov't interior remodel and the specs mention RXM knockdown. I've never used it personally... just skim, orange peel, and the regular knockdown. If anyone here still uses RXM, what are your thoughts? Why should I use it?

I don't know anyone who's using the RXM knockdown texture in commercial work anymore.
I suggest you bid the job using a standard knockdown or whatever you're comfortable with, and then submit a product substitution request for whatever texture you actually plan to use.
You'll save yourself a headache and I think the client will get a more common, easily repairable finish!

RXM knockdown is overhyped, it is just a fancy name for a slightly tweaked texture that barely justifies the price. Most clients can't even tell the difference from regular knockdown unless you tell them it's "premium."
