Deck stain tips

Thinking of slapping some SunProof by Pittsburgh on my deck to give it a new lease on life. Has anyone tried it? Does it hold up, or will my deck end up looking like it had a bad spray tan after a month in the rain? Share your wisdom, folks, and save me from a stain regret story.

Sunproof by Pittsburgh is a decent option if you prep the deck properly and apply it evenly. It can sustain for a year or two but heavy rain and foot traffic can wear it down faster. If you want to save a few bucks make sure to clean and sand the deck well before staining. A little elbow grease goes a long way!

Appreciate the heads up! I'll call it a win if it holds out longer than my last gym membership. I'll be sure to give that deck a spa day first with some serious scrubbing.

Hahaha looks like my deck found its own voice to thank you for the advice! But no worries, I'll handle the sanding and scrubbing to make sure this glow up is worth it.
